Superintendent

CMSWillowbrook Project Superintendents are proactive individuals, with a broad range and knowledge of the construction field.

Duties

Pre-Construction Requirements

  • Read and study in detail all construction plans and specifications.
  • Provide input on the submittal/shop drawing schedule and log.
  • Review and have a thorough understanding of all sub contracts and agreements.
  • Work with Project Manager to develop the Construction Schedule.
  • Prepare and implement a site mobilization plan.
  • Establish with surveyor all control points and benchmarks.
  • Prepare and implement a safety and fire protection plan.
  • Locate and protect all existing utilities.

During Construction

  • Ensure all work by contractors is performed in accordance with the plans and specifications.
  • Implement a viable safety and fire protection plan.
  • Work with the team to provide and maintain the project schedule.
  • Coordinate all contractors field activities.
  • Maintain good relations with the construction team, including the Owner, Architect, consultants and Government officials.

Project Closeout

  • Conduct a thorough and well organized punch list process with the construction team.
  • Conduct necessary training and operations with the building Owner.
  • Maintain storm prevention pollution plan through the demobilization phase of the project.
  • Perform other duties as required by the construction team and management.

Qualifications

CMSWillowbrook is looking for highly educated and trained field superintendents.

  • Minimum 10 hour OSHA training with preference toward candidates with 40 hours OSHA training.

Project Manager

Our Project Mangers are a diversitified group of individuals that believe in making a project perform at a high level with skill, responsibility, and intergrity.  

Duties

Pre-Construction Phase 

  • Attend Owner/Architect planning meetings.
  • Review methods of Construction techniques and materials
  • Monitor plan design and development
  • Be active on bid day and assist in reviewing bids.
  • Prepare preliminary construction schedule
  • Review and edit list of potential bidders.
  • Numerous other tasks as called upon by the pre-construction team.

Mobilization phase

  • Make a thorough study of the plans and specs
  • Ensure detailed construction schedule is prepared by the Superintendent
  • Make job assignments for team members
  • Schedule and attend pre-construction and job progress meetings
  • Review subcontracts, verify bonds and insurance
  • Perform numerous other tasks as required

Construction Phase

  • Maintain good communication with job staff
  • Schedule staff meetings regualrly
  • Maintain team harmony
  • Schedule job progress meetings, Owner/Architect meetings, and Subcontractor meetings
  • Review and assist staff engineer in preparing RFI's, change orders, pay apps.
  • Maintain good personal relationship with Owner and Architect

 Poject Closeout

  • Close out with Architect
  • Close out with Owner

Qualifications

It is our desire to hire candidates that have completed a degree from an accrediated four (4) year University or College in Construction Management, or equivalent Engineering or Engineering Technology program.

  • Applicants with AC, CPC, CCM or other nationally recognized certifications are highly desired.
