Project Spotlight: Rose State College

ROSE STATE COLLEGE
CAMPUS RENOVATIONS, ADDITIONS, & IMPROVMENTS

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK

Rose State college campus consists of 25 buildings over 120 acres in Midwest City less than a mile from Tinker Air Force Base.  The communities of Midwest City and Del City approved a 22-million-dollar bond issue in March of 2013 to modernize and update many of the buildings on campus as well as an information technology infrastructure overhaul, including data center backup generator, for the entire campus.

Some of the building improvements include complete renovation of the Aquatic Center, A.D.A. restrooms, and interior finishes update of all classroom buildings, locker room renovations, roof replacement, and other miscellaneous improvements throughout campus.  The largest renovation was for the Learning Resources Center (LRC) which was completely gutted and rebuilt with a 15,000 sq. ft. addition, including a cafe and coffee bar, to provide a learning environment fit for the 21st century.

"I have been working with CMS staff now for the last three years and it has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I think what impresses me most is the depth of knowledge I have observed from the CMS staff. From bidding to contracting to construction, the entire group has displayed a thorough knowledge of all phases of project development. Regardless of the situation or issue, they always have a recommendation and that recommendation takes into careful consideration the position of the Owner and quality of the final product." -Richard Andrews, CPO, Senior Director, Campus Operations Rose State College
